I Love You Anyways
Ever since I was little girl
All the memories
That I have had
Are broken up in pieces
They are lonely and very sad
The ones that I remember most
Are of you treating me bad
I wish my life was different
I wish I had another mom
It's as if your too blind to see
The ways you treat me
To this very day
Is wrong
Daddy use to stand up for me
He use to do things right
But as I grew he
Just stopped trying
Because of me you would
Get so mad, and it
Only made you fight
All you have ever done
Is hurt Me
Abuse, hate, and
Destroy me
You like to put me down
And persecute me too
Leaving me to wonder
What did I ever
Do to you?
I remember one time perfectly
I banged my head against the wall
Over and Over I said to myself
Why did you guys have me at all?
Why since I was just the age of five
And every day since then
Think to myself
That maybe it'd be better off
If I had just have died?
Life is not always fair
You made that perfectly clear
You loved my sister
As if she was a gift from God
While I grew up in fear
As I grew up and the older that I got
All the feelings I could not
Truly handle
God would try to block
But I never truly forgot
You have become
My worst enemy
How can you do
These things to me?
I try everything to
Please you,
But you refuse to see
I wonder how you
Can be so mean?
You bring me down
On purpose
You can't stand
To see me Succeed
Sometimes I feel
Like crying
When I try and ask you why?
Other times, I fake my smile,
Though I am really
Dying deep inside
Honestly,
It's really hard to love you,
Sometimes my smile's fake
And I only put on
So you don't see me break
And while I am being honest
I can't help but question
Was I just a big mistake you made?
That you would
Leave me in such an oppression?
You would think I'd
Grow to hate you
For all the viscous
Things you do
Because most children
Would be full of rage
And they would learn
To despise someone like you
But you are still my mother
And instead of hating you
I try to make things right
So I try to lay the feelings down
At Jesus Feet
Every single night
I also pray every day
That someway you
Will comprehend
That you will one day
Return my love for you
And all the hurt
You have for me
Will come to an end
It was and is a parent's job
To show their child love
My children will never
Feel this way
And the reason is because...
I will never ever be like you
I will never shut them out
I will do everything I can for them
And I will try my hardest
to never let them down
But my biggest determination
Comes straight from my heart
With every step I take, as their mom
I will show them how to love
And what love is all about

Love is not always the easiest thing to do, especially when it comes to the people who have nothing but hate towards you. Why is it believers are told to love our enemies? Why do they deserve our love, when we have done nothing bad to them? I think the reason is because that's what God would do, God forgives over and over again. So How can you truly love somebody that likes to hurt you? To be truthful, most people can't, but the few that can, try very hard to just be the bigger person in these situations or they simply pray for them.
I also think that their are people, who just don't understand what love truly means. Maybe they just grew up without it, or were never taught how to show it to others, but then their are also those who do know what it means and where taught all about it, but they just like to be cruel. The thing about it is, you will encounter enemies at some point in your lifetime and most enemies feel like they have some kind of justification for the way they feel. You may also be the one that is the enemy of someone. Suppressing some of these kind of feelings can be very difficult, especially when they build up and explode.
It is our job though, as believers in Christ, to do our best to limit the number of enemies we have. How do we do this? Well, there are many different kind of ways we can show even our enemies love. The first way and I think the most important is by prayer. When you simply just pray for a person out of love, you are giving God the power to work everything out on not only your behalf but also your enemies behalf. God can do many things in a person's life and heart, and in scripture it says that "Anything is possible with Christ." Also, prayer can give you a sense of peace for your soul, it can remove anger and malice, it can even allow you to let go of the situation and let God control the outcome. Prayer truly is a powerful weapon against Satan and evil. We as believers are in a constant battle and prayer can keep our guard up.
How else can we help are enemies or be a good influence and example? Well, I believe by your actions and mindset towards the situation. We need to be able to accept other people's feelings for us, no matter good or bad. Even if we wish we could, we can't always change another's behavior or belief, but we can control the way we treat them. This means, even if you don't like them or they dislike you, you should always do things in Love.
What does the bible say about how to love others and what love means?
