Romans 5:3–4

"We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

Dear Heavenly Father,

Why did you take him away from her like this? Her heart was allready broken, now it is forever shattered, How will she ever survive this lost, they were so in love and she is still so young. What do I say to her, What words can I possibly use to comfort her? It has been 2 months and she still won't get out of her bedroom.

God: I am sorry that this happened and that her heart is broken, I love her so much, and it's okay for her to feel sad, even mad at me, but I am here to comfort her comfort here when she needs it, I am ready to give her the peace she seeks, If she just calls on my name, I am here for her when she is ready.

But It Just isn't fair. I understand life is a process, I understand that death is just a part of life, but nothing I say is helping, I feel like I am only making it worse.

God: Go to her bedroom. Do not knock on the door, just go straight to her windows, open the curtains and let the sunshine in.

Right now? Why she won't let me in, she wont let anyone in.

God: Don't you trust me? Please She needs this now.

So I do as God says, I go to the door. It is suprisingly unlocked as he said, I go to the windows and open them. She is not in bed? Where is she? Oh. "Elaine, Are you hungry? Want me to bring you up something to eat? I thought you would still be in bed?"

Elaine begins to laugh, then a smile runs across her face. She ran to me with open arms and basically fell into mine with tears of joy in her eyes! God? Why is she is so happy?

Elaine: "Oh you will never believe what happened? I have been reading the bible all morning, praying for God to give me some kind of sign that Jonah is still with me, that somehow God is still watching over us both? And then my windows opened! And I saw the sun shining in! God truly does care. Suddenly I am not as sad anymore! and pancakes sound perfect."
