Five Precious Gifts, The First One Is God

Deuteronomy 4:24 "For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God"

Deuteronomy 4:31 "For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath."

Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"

Deuteronomy 33:27 "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!"

Psalms 50:6 "And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge."

Psalms 68:19-20 "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death."

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him."

He shines just like the Sun

His moonlight fills the sky

He is the light where darkness hides

He is the creator of all things

He is with us all the time

He is a warrior

He is a king who battles

A king who fights

He is awake day and night

Making wrongs turn into rights

He is faithful

He makes promises

That come to Life

He removes every stain away

Then he clothes me in white

My God, well

He is a mighty fortress

A rock on which I stand

He is so strong, and he can hold

The whole world in his hands

My God, well

He is loving, he has a love

That never ends

A love that flows from east to west

A love you can feel

Like falling raindrops or in the wind

My God, well

He is has a spirit

And he shares it

Because He is also love

And it will abide within us

Until his son returns

There are FIVE precious gifts that God gives us apart from his promises that will all one day come to pass. Each gift is special and unique and comes from the heavens. Today I am going to talk about the gift of God, himself. The next 4 blogs will be on the other gifts, in order of importance, in my opinion.

Many people go there whole life thinking and believing that God just is. Some people see him as a everlasting spirit(which he is) that just watches us from above and judges us for our sins and then decides our future everlasting destiny. While all of these facts are true, God for me is something that is greater than just a spirit being, he is the very most precious gift to us. Not all he does and can do, but who he is.

God, for me, is like my best friend. He is also so important to me. I look up to him, like a father figure, and I love him more than anything else on earth. He guides me, he uplifts me, he inspires me, but most of all he loves me. God knows me better than anyone else. I have a strong desire everyday to spend more and more time with him in prayer and thought. He has shown me he loves me in so many ways. I can feel him living inside my heart when I worship, or even when I am at my worst, he is always with me, he is always there. One of his promises to us all is that unlike worldly people and worldly things, he tells us that "He will never leave us or forsake us." And that means so much to me. It shows me that he is dependable and that his heart is always open to me.

He is so many great things. He has so many great qualities. He walks with me, his spirit talks to me. He is forever by my side, cheering me along in my walk with him. He is the only love that I know for certain, I can always count on. He is a being that changes me. The only person I have ever wanted or desired to be more like, is him. All of his qualities and all of his love, it changes me. It is constantly changing me, into a person worth being. His path for me is always better than any path I could make for myself. Without him my life would be and feel meaningless and I would not have purpose without him.

"He truly is an amazing gift to me. He is an amazing gift to us all. He loves us, before we even know anything about him. He loves us before we are even born but mostly he will love us until we die. No matter what we do, we will never be able to escape his merciful, selfless love. The love that offers us hope and grace. God is a gift to us all. Never let him go, and always keep the faith. Let him lead you, let him guide you, let him love you, let him be your greatest gift, because there is none that can compare to him."

Prayer For Today

Heavenly Father Who art in Heaven,

I come to you today, humbling myself to your greatness, I am so grateful and thankful for being able to just simply know you. My desire is to grow in a relationship with you, learning new and exciting things about you, each and every day. You love me so much, and I am honored that I in return have the opportunity to love you, in return. You mean everything to me, more than life itself, you are my greatest love. You have amazing life changing qualities and I am so blessed that you offer me and everyone else your grace and mercy. I fall and fail you, but you never ever fail me. Keep me in all your ways, train me to be more and more like you. I can't wait for heaven, Where I can abide with you forever, which is your greatest gift to us all.
