The Amazing Story Of The Birth Of Jesus Christ
Matthew 1:18-24 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet."
Luke 2:7 "And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn"
Isiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
John 1:13 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Luke 2:11 "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
Matthew 9:21 "She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
The Only Begotten Son From God
Once upon a time
God, The Word
Sent his begotten son
To save the world
In the very beginning
When the world was created
And even before that
His son's fate was dated
For many years after that
The prophet's prophesied
They all were fulfilled
Till the day the son died
He was made in the womb
Not by a man
But in a spiritual way
And He was made in perfection
To fulfill God's
Purpose One day
The mother was chosen
And God's son she did carry
She was overjoyed
She was so happy and merry
The Mother who birthed him
Her name was Mary
But even before she was pregnant
He knew the burdens
That only he would be able
To carry
He was born in a manger
In a humbling place
He was born to
Show us the gift of God's grace
He was born
The True King of all men
He was Born
To save
She was told by an angel
His name will be, The Lord, Jesus Christ
She loved him very deeply
From the day he was born
Until the day that he died
You may wonder why
God's son was sent
He was sent to us all
To save us from sin
His death was tragic
And he died on the cross
Before his death With His final Breath
He asked God to please
Forgive us
If it were not for him
And if He had never came
We would have to live
Live as guilty,
With our transgressions and shame
If Jesus had not
Been the last sacrifice
Our sins would be
heavily weighed
We were truly
Saved at a price
From the moment of death
The war was finally won
He defeated Satan
His purpose from God
Was Finally done
But God loved us so much
He sent Jesus so we
Could through him be cleansed
And live with God, eternally

Today is Christmas day and of course I thought it would be a good day to talk about the wonderful and miraculous birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Al around the world people love to celebrate Christmas, and if you are a Christian believer we all have heard at least once the story of Jesus birth. But just in case you haven't heard it, here is what the bible tells us about it.
An angel came and visited a lady named Mary, at the time she was afraid that God had chosen her to be the mother. Nevertheless, God had chosen her a virgin to conceive by the Holy Spirit a son she was told to name, Jesus. Also at the same time she was betrothed to a Man name Joseph. Instead of divorcing her or believing her as an adulteress, God intervened by giving him a dream and he decided to stay married to her. Right before Jesus was born, Joseph (who was a descendent from the line of David) and Mary traveled to Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David to register. But as they made it into the town, Mary's time of labor arrived. There was no room for them in the town inn (like a hotel) So they had to stay the night in a manger.
That night Mary gave birth to Jesus. A star that was also seen in the east, sent wise men on a search for Jesus ( King David asked them to bring back news of the location) and they found him where the star was directly over him. They then gave Jesus three gifts of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. They worshipped him and rejoiced at the birth and then left. (Though, they never did return to give the location to King David because God warned them through a dream, not to.

Sometimes when you read scripture or hear the same story many times, you pass over some of the important details. You can see by examining the scriptures on the story of Jesus birth, that God was also in the picture the whole time, from the very beginning to the end. God first, was the one who chose Mary, God also sent the angel to her to tell her how she was to conceive through the spirit and name her son, Jesus. God intervened in the dream to Joseph so he would stay married to her, God put the star in the sky to guide the wise men to Jesus in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. God also sent a dream to the wise men not to go back and tell King David the location of Jesus.
This example of God's presence in this story is a very important part, and it is also very comforting, to me. There are many times in life, that I am blind to God's presence, even during the times I do not know it. The thing that gives me peace though is the scriptures, like these, that reveal to me, God is constantly watching out for me. Not only is God constantly working on my behalf presently, the best part of all is believing that God has gone before me. This fact in my walk and relationship with God, helps remind me to trust in God, allowing him to work behind the scenes of my life, and the future of it. God knows the outcome. You can see by reading the stories of the bible, that God does fulfill his promises, he does keep his word, he is in our past, present and future, but most importantly everything that happens when we let him lead us, is always in our best interest.
I love the feeling that God always has a purpose for everything and the gift that he never ever leaves me or forsakes me. I also love that he is in control, because
even when I may not notice him, because of the temptations I face, or the struggles I am in, or the confusion of the path I should take, or decision I should make, He is There.
Prayer For Today
Heavenly Father who art in Heaven,
Lord, I am so thankful for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ. I am so thankful we have stories, in The Word you have given us, that show us example after example that you are on our side. I believe you are always working on my behalf even when I may not see it. I love and embrace every promise you have made to me through scripture, and I trust in you. Help me to remember to always try and acknowledge you in my life, help me to let you lead me, in the way you want me to go. I truly take comfort in the fact that you know my future and will never leave me. You are a great God and Father, and I give you all the glory.
In Jesus Christ Name I Pray, Amen
